Last weekend, Michael wrapped up a successful tee-ball season with a pizza-and-swimming party at a teammate’s house. It has been so much fun watching him play the game this year. It was a completely different experience from his first season in 2012 when he was bored and picking clovers. He got into it this time! It’s so hard for a little guy this age to pay attention the whole time… but amid the dirt kicking and day dreaming, I saw athleticism and genuine interest. More importantly, Michael really enjoyed it!
Our dentist (Charlie’s daddy) was the head coach so I knew it was going to be a great season. Jonathan is very organized, very focused and very patient – what more can you ask for in a tee-ball coach?!? The other dads who volunteered were really great also. I appreciated how nurturing they were with the boys – balancing skills and sportsmanship.
High-fiving the other team after the game is my very favorite part of the game. Good game. Good game. Good game. Good game…
My friend Sharon nick-named Michael “The Pokey Little Puppy” when he was in preschool. (Very fitting!) But when he wants to, he can run fast. Uncle Stevie told Michael to RUN LIKE A NINJA!
Congratulations, Michael and Charlie! Great job!
